Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility protocols during night shift hours
- Conduct regular security patrols and headcounts to maintain institutional safety
- Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and medical incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Maintain accurate incident reports and disciplinary documentation
- Operate security systems including surveillance equipment and access controls
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response teams during critical incidents
- Facilitate inmate movement and transportation with strict adherence to procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Physical fitness to restrain inmates and work in high-stress environments
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer skills for report documentation
