Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility security protocols during overnight hours
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and respond to emergency incidents
- Document security breaches and incident reports with precision
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during critical interventions
- Maintain order during transport and medical emergencies
- Operate surveillance systems and control room equipment
- Conduct headcounts and maintain accurate inmate records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Nevada Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
- Valid Nevada driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Physical endurance to handle extended patrols and restrainments
- Strong communication skills under stress
- Experience with CCTV systems and access control
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
