Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility protocols during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular security patrols and surveillance of all facility areas
- Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and medical incidents with immediate action
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation using digital systems
- Screen visitors, mail, and packages following state security procedures
- Collaborate with day-shift teams for seamless operations and intelligence sharing
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required (college preferred)
- Must be 21+ years old and US citizen
- Pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Valid Indiana driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays reliably
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Basic computer proficiency for report documentation
