Responsibilities
- Maintain secure perimeter surveillance and conduct regular inmate headcounts
- Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and medical incidents with de-escalation protocols
- Document incident reports and maintain accurate facility logs
- Supervised inmate movement during meal distribution and recreation
- Operate security systems including CCTV, alarms, and access control
- Conduct routine searches of living quarters and common areas
- Collaborate with day shift teams for seamless transition of operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Ohio Peace Officer Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Minimum 1 year security, law enforcement, or military experience
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and physical fitness assessment
- Strong conflict resolution skills and crisis management training
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and security software systems
- Ohio driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
