Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility protocols during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular security rounds and headcounts to maintain order
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and medical situations with trained protocols
- Document incidents and maintain accurate shift reports
- Screen visitors and packages to ensure facility safety
- Collaborate with day-shift officers for seamless operations
- Participate in mandatory training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
- Basic CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
- U.S. citizenship and minimum 21 years of age
