Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations
- Conduct regular security patrols and headcounts
- Respond to emergencies and incidents per protocol
- Process inmates and maintain accurate documentation
- Operate security systems and control room equipment
- Collaborate with law enforcement during transports
- Enforce safety procedures during emergency situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas driver's license
- No felony convictions (background check required)
- Ability to pass physical fitness assessment
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Texan residency required within 90 days of hire
- Successfully complete state-mandated training program
