Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to emergency alerts and incidents during night shift hours
- Coordinate with city agencies (Fire, Police, Public Health) during after-hours crises
- Update emergency response protocols and communication channels
- Conduct night-shift readiness drills and equipment checks
- Prepare incident reports and documentation for morning shift handovers
- Maintain situational awareness through GIS mapping and surveillance systems
- Train volunteers and auxiliary staff on after-hours emergency procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience in emergency response or crisis management
- Valid California Emergency Management Certification (EMC) or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work independently during high-pressure night shift scenarios
- Proficiency in GIS software, CAD systems, and emergency notification platforms
- Clear background check and ability to obtain FEMA NIMS certifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
