We are seeking a dedicated Night Shift Information Technology Specialist to ensure the continuous operation of our critical government systems. Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure and server health during night hours to ensure system stability.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support to city staff and departments via ticketing systems.
- Resolve critical IT incidents and service tickets with minimal downtime to maintain business continuity.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and security audits.
- Collaborate with the day shift team to document issues and ensure seamless workflow transitions.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of hardware and software assets.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or network engineering.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
- Must be willing to work rotating night shifts (typically 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting technical issues.
- Familiarity with government IT compliance standards (e.g., FISMA) is a plus.
