Responsibilities
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise-level IT infrastructure (Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux) during the night shift to ensure 24/7 system availability.
- Perform routine security patches, updates, and vulnerability assessments on federal servers to mitigate potential cyber threats.
- Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets and service requests from federal personnel with high priority and accuracy.
- Conduct data backups, system restores, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Document all technical procedures, incidents, and resolutions in compliance with federal record-keeping standards.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to hand over system status reports and ensure seamless operational continuity.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, OR equivalent technical experience.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CISSP is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or network engineering.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in TCP/IP networking, Active Directory, PowerShell, and virtualization technologies.
- Availability: Must be available to work a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
