Responsibilities
- Monitor system performance, security alerts, and server logs during evening and night hours to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Execute and document scheduled maintenance windows and patch deployments outside of business hours.
- Respond to and resolve critical helpdesk tickets and emergency service outages via remote access tools.
- Analyze data trends and generate nightly operational reports for leadership review.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to hand over tickets and ensure seamless service continuity.
- Assist in the implementation of new government software and hardware solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Strong understanding of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and SQL databases.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively during night shifts and holidays.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are highly preferred.
