Responsibilities
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain server infrastructure and networks during off-peak hours.
- Perform nightly security patches and system updates to ensure compliance with federal standards.
- Respond to and resolve help desk tickets escalated from day-shift operations.
- Conduct routine database backups and integrity checks.
- Document all system anomalies, resolutions, and maintenance activities in the government knowledge base.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute night-time maintenance windows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Ability to work a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Security clearance (e.g., Secret) or the ability to obtain one is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
