Responsibilities
- 24/7 System Monitoring: Proactively monitor network infrastructure, servers, and applications to ensure 99.9% uptime during night operations.
- Ticket Resolution: Respond to and resolve critical help desk tickets and system alerts generated overnight.
- Maintenance & Patching: Execute scheduled software updates, security patches, and hardware maintenance tasks.
- Incident Management: Lead the initial response to outages, coordinating with day-shift teams to restore services quickly.
- Security Compliance: Enforce state security protocols and access controls to protect sensitive government data.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or NOC operations.
- Certifications: CompTIA Network+ or Security+ certification is a plus.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM) including weekends.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and network troubleshooting tools.
