Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned city areas during overnight hours to prevent crime and maintain public safety
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, accidents, and service requests
- Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and file detailed reports
- Collaborate with day shift officers for seamless continuity of operations
- Enforce local, state, and federal laws with professionalism and impartiality
- Provide assistance to community members during non-traditional hours
- Participate in specialized night shift training and tactical operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
- Minimum 21 years of age and U.S. citizenship
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills and conflict resolution abilities
- Physical fitness to meet departmental standards
- Successful completion of background investigation and polygraph
