Responsibilities
- Patrol designated city zones during overnight hours to deter crime and ensure public safety
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, accidents, and incidents requiring immediate law enforcement intervention
- Conduct thorough investigations, collect evidence, and prepare detailed incident reports
- Collaborate with specialized units (K-9, SWAT, Narcotics) for coordinated night operations
- Enforce city ordinances and state laws with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Maintain accurate documentation using digital reporting systems
- Provide community outreach during late-night hours to build trust with residents
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid Pennsylvania driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Successful completion of police academy training
- Minimum 2 years law enforcement experience or military police background
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM) with flexible scheduling
- Pass physical fitness test, background investigation, and psychological evaluation
