Responsibilities
- Patrol city buildings and facilities overnight to ensure security and prevent unauthorized access
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond promptly to alarms or suspicious activity
- Document security incidents and submit detailed reports for official records
- Enforce city ordinances and safety protocols during non-business hours
- Coordinate with emergency services (police, fire) as required during emergencies
- Conduct access control for personnel and vehicles entering restricted areas
- Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance on security systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Valid Ohio Security Guard License or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision overnight
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in writing incident reports and maintaining logs
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Basic first aid/CPR certification required
