Responsibilities
- Monitor premises and respond to security incidents during overnight hours
- Conduct regular patrols of city buildings and outdoor facilities
- Operate security systems including CCTV, access control, and alarm monitoring
- Document incident reports and security breaches with precision
- Coordinate with emergency services and city departments as needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive government information
- Enforce city policies and safety regulations for all premises
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina Security Guard License (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience preferred
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with security technology systems
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification a plus
