Responsibilities
- Monitor premises and surveillance systems to prevent security breaches and unauthorized access
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents following established protocols
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, documenting observations and irregularities
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed incident reports and security logs for official documentation
- Operate access control systems, gates, and specialized security equipment
- Provide courteous assistance to employees, visitors, and contractors during non-business hours
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training preferred
- Valid California Guard Card and firearms permit if applicable
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail in high-stakes environments
- Effective communication skills for reporting incidents and coordinating teams
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and physically secure premises
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Experience with CCTV systems or access control technology beneficial
