Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance equipment, CCTV systems, and access control points to ensure facility security.
- Conduct regular foot patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
- Respond immediately to alarms, security breaches, or emergencies by following established emergency protocols.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and accurate shift logs at the end of each duty period.
- Verify the identity of all personnel and visitors entering restricted federal areas.
- Collaborate effectively with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services when necessary.
- Maintain a high profile and professional demeanor to create a safe, secure environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associateās degree in Criminal Justice or related field is preferred.
- Valid State Security Guard License is a plus, though training can be provided.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive federal background investigation, drug screen, and medical evaluation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and documentation.
- Physical stamina to perform walking, standing, and lifting duties for extended periods.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and security management software.
