Responsibilities
- Patrol & Monitoring: Conduct regular patrols of the facility and perimeter to ensure the safety and security of the premises, identifying and addressing potential hazards.
- Access Control: Verify the identity of all visitors, employees, and contractors, issuing appropriate badges and maintaining strict control of access points.
- Incident Response: Respond immediately to alarms, emergency situations, and security breaches, following established protocols to mitigate risks.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations using computerized reporting systems.
- Emergency Preparedness: Assist in conducting fire drills and emergency evacuation procedures to ensure readiness.
- Client Relations: Interact professionally with visitors and employees to ensure a secure and welcoming environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Licensing: Valid Florida Class D Security License is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in security or law enforcement, preferably in a government or high-security facility.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM or 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Skills: Strong observation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
