As a security professional in a federal environment, you will play a critical role in protecting critical infrastructure and ensuring the safety of our staff and visitors during night hours.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas, including building interiors and exteriors, to ensure facility security and safety.
- Operate closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems and access control terminals to detect and prevent security breaches.
- Conduct regular inspections of locks, windows, and doors to maintain physical security standards.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations following established protocols.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security logs for federal record-keeping.
- Verify the identity of visitors and vendors and manage access authorization in compliance with federal regulations.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this federal position.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid State Security Officer License or Guard Card is required.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the shift schedule.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive federal background investigation and drug screen.
- Strong observation skills and the ability to remain alert during night shifts.
