Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol federal facility premises during overnight hours
- Respond to security breaches, alarms, and emergency incidents with rapid, decisive action
- Enforce access control protocols and verify credentials for all personnel entering restricted areas
- Maintain detailed security logs and incident reports using federal compliance systems
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services during critical incidents
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and vulnerability assessments of the facility
- Operate advanced security technology including biometric scanners and CCTV networks
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum 3 years professional security or law enforcement experience
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean driving record
- Proficiency in security software and surveillance systems (CCTV, access control)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight shifts
- Strong written communication skills for incident reporting
- Must pass federal background investigation and polygraph examination
- Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods and respond to emergencies
