Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure municipal facilities, including government buildings and public works sites during overnight hours
- Conduct regular patrols using surveillance systems and physical inspections to detect security breaches
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incident reports with coordinated emergency services
- Maintain detailed incident logs, security reports, and compliance documentation
- Operate advanced security technology including CCTV, access control systems, and communication devices
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during critical incidents
- Enforce safety protocols and access procedures for all facility visitors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Valid Tennessee Security Officer License and firearms certification
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight shifts
- Strong written communication skills for incident reporting
- Proficiency with surveillance technology and access control systems
- Must pass extensive background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification required (training provided)
