Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain server infrastructure, network systems, and database environments during night shifts.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Respond to and resolve critical technical incidents and service tickets with minimal supervision.
- Ensure strict compliance with government security protocols, data protection regulations, and IT policies.
- Conduct routine security audits and vulnerability assessments on the network perimeter.
- Collaborate with Day Shift teams to document issues, implement solutions, and ensure seamless handover of responsibilities.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control within the Active Directory environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in system administration, network engineering, or IT support.
- Valid California Driver’s License (required for occasional on-site facility access).
- Proven ability to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Familiarity with government IT standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA) and compliance frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
