Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the health and uptime of Windows Server and Linux environments 24/7.
- Perform emergency system patches, security updates, and software installations during off-peak hours.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical incidents and service requests.
- Execute nightly backups, data integrity checks, and system audits.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to document incidents, resolutions, and runbooks.
- Ensure compliance with state security protocols and data privacy regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Systems Administration or IT Support.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (typically 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM).
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux (RHEL/CentOS), and scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are a plus.
