Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain municipal equipment (street sweepers, garbage trucks, etc.)
- Perform waste collection, recycling, and sanitation services
- Conduct routine infrastructure inspections and maintenance
- Respond to emergency service calls during severe weather events
- Adhere to all OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Assist in community outreach and public education initiatives
- Maintain accurate service logs and equipment records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid New York State driver's license (Class B or higher)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Previous municipal or public service experience preferred
- Fluency in English and Spanish highly desirable
