Responsibilities
- Process incoming emergency and non-emergency calls using CAD systems
- Dispatch appropriate law enforcement units to incident locations
- Provide life-saving instructions during medical emergencies
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all communications
- Coordinate with other agencies during multi-jurisdictional incidents
- Operate radio equipment and specialized emergency response software
- Remain calm and professional under high-pressure situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Clear communication and active listening skills
- Strong multitasking and decision-making abilities
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Must be 18+ years old and a US citizen
- No felony convictions
- Valid Colorado driver's license (or obtain within 30 days)
