Responsibilities
- Maintain Park Facilities: Regularly clean and maintain park restrooms, playgrounds, and recreational areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for residents.
- Groundskeeping: Perform mowing, weeding, trimming, and litter removal in parks and public spaces.
- Event Support: Assist in setting up and tearing down equipment for community events, sports leagues, and festivals.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate power tools, mowers, and other maintenance equipment under supervision.
- Customer Service: Interact positively with park visitors, answer questions, and report maintenance issues to supervisors.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and report on the condition of park supplies and equipment.
- Seasonal Maintenance: Prepare parks for seasonal changes, including winterization or summer preparation.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid California Driver's License and the ability to operate a motor vehicle is highly preferred.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; however, we welcome applicants with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Enthusiasm: A genuine interest in public service and community engagement.
