Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, and recreational facilities to ensure they meet high cleanliness standards.
- Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of community events, festivals, sports leagues, and recreational programs.
- Conduct landscaping duties including mowing, raking, planting, weeding, and seasonal snow removal.
- Monitor park areas to ensure visitor safety, enforce park rules, and report maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and visitors by answering questions, resolving concerns, and maintaining a positive public presence.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, inventory, and facility conditions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Valid Driverβs License and ability to operate a vehicle within the city limits.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures is preferred.
