Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds by mowing, weeding, raking, and trimming grass and shrubs.
- Assist in the setup, operation, and breakdown of community events and recreational programs.
- Clean and maintain public restrooms, picnic areas, and playground equipment.
- Monitor park facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and cleanliness standards.
- Operate light maintenance equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Interact with the public to provide information and assistance to park visitors.
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (or working towards one).
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat and humidity.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for cash handling (if applicable).
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable transportation is required to commute to different park locations.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
