Responsibilities
- Maintain Public Spaces: Perform routine cleaning, landscaping, and maintenance of parks, athletic fields, playgrounds, and recreational facilities to ensure they are safe and welcoming for all visitors.
- Event Support: Assist in the setup, execution, and breakdown of community events, festivals, and recreational programs, ensuring a positive experience for attendees.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain landscaping equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems, following all safety protocols.
- Visitor Assistance: Greet and assist park visitors, answer questions regarding park rules and facility availability, and enforce park regulations to maintain order.
- Facility Upkeep: Monitor restrooms and concession areas, ensuring they are clean and stocked; report any necessary repairs or maintenance issues to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or customer service is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform moderate to heavy physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Driverās License: A valid California driverās license is required.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and practices, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
