Responsibilities
- Manage Records: Organize and maintain physical and digital public records and filing systems to ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors, answer inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate departments professionally.
- Data Entry: Perform accurate data entry tasks for payroll, attendance tracking, and departmental reporting.
- Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and distribute memos, letters, and official correspondence.
- Meeting Support: Prepare meeting rooms, take minutes, and assist in coordinating departmental meetings.
- Inventory Control: Monitor office supplies and assist in the ordering and distribution of materials.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of administrative or clerical experience in a government or corporate environment.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with government database systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Reliability: Demonstrated punctuality and the ability to adhere to strict government scheduling protocols.
- Background: Must pass a background check and fingerprinting as required by NY State law.
