Responsibilities
- Develop and implement culturally responsive outreach strategies for underserved communities
- Coordinate with community leaders and local organizations to identify program needs
- Organize and facilitate public meetings, workshops, and recreational events
- Collect and analyze community feedback to inform park programming improvements
- Manage social media and digital communication channels for community engagement
- Assist with grant applications and reporting for community initiatives
- Track program metrics and prepare monthly impact reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred in Public Administration, Communications, or related field)
- Minimum 1 year experience in community outreach, event coordination, or customer service
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in English and Spanish
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Valid New York State driver's license (may be required for field visits)
- Pass background check and fingerprinting clearance for government position
