Job Overview
The ideal candidate will provide high-level administrative support to federal agency leadership. You will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and internal staff, ensuring the smooth operation of the office environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage incoming correspondence, including emails and phone calls, with a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Prepare and edit documents, memos, and reports using Microsoft Office Suite and proprietary federal software.
- Coordinate schedules, arrange meetings, and prepare travel itineraries for executive staff.
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems in compliance with federal regulations and agency protocols.
- Process expense reports and purchase orders within established timeframes.
- Assist in the organization of agency events and community outreach activities.
Qualifications
- Eligibility: Must be a U.S. Citizen and meet eligibility requirements for federal employment (e.g., background check clearance).
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of administrative or clerical experience in a professional office setting.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
