We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Federal Benefits Specialist to join our Miami-based team. In this pivotal role, you will support the administration and processing of federal employee benefits, ensuring compliance with OPM regulations and agency policies. Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate federal employee benefit requests, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave requests.
- Conduct regular audits of employee files to ensure 100% compliance with federal and agency regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to federal employees, answering inquiries regarding benefits eligibility and claims.
- Collaborate with the HR team to ensure accurate data entry into the HRIS system.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records and reports regarding benefit utilization and trends.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new federal hires, explaining benefits packages comprehensively.
Qualifications
- US Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for federal security clearance (if applicable).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in federal HR, benefits administration, or payroll.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with OPM regulations, FEHB, FERS, and CSRS is highly preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software (e.g., PeopleSoft, Workday, or similar).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex policies clearly.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage high volumes of sensitive data with precision.
