Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and interpret complex datasets from various federal and agency sources to support analytical reporting.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or SAS to communicate key findings to stakeholders.
- Ensure all data processing complies with federal regulations, including OMB Circular A-123 and FISMA requirements.
- Perform statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within large-scale government datasets.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to define data requirements and translate business needs into technical data solutions.
- Document data workflows, methodologies, and data dictionaries to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
- Assist in the preparation of briefings and presentations for executive leadership regarding data-driven insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a federal, defense, or government contracting environment.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation; experience with Python or R is a strong plus.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView, PowerBI).
- Familiarity with federal data standards, security classifications, and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot data quality issues effectively.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required.
