Key Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Federal IT Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our federal client systems. Your duties will include:
- Managing and securing federal IT networks and infrastructure.
- Conducting vulnerability assessments and security audits to ensure compliance with FISMA and NIST standards.
- Providing technical troubleshooting and support for federal agency personnel.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of system configurations and security protocols.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement new IT solutions.
- Monitoring system performance and responding to security incidents.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (required).
- Relevant IT certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or GSEC (preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal or government contracting environments.
- Strong understanding of network security, cloud computing, and data privacy laws.
- Ability to work part-time hours (20-30 hours per week) with reliability and dedication.
