Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex datasets for state agencies using SQL, Python, and R
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI
- Prepare comprehensive reports for legislative committees and public officials
- Ensure data compliance with state and federal regulations (HIPAA, FERPA)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation of data methodologies and findings
- Participate in quarterly stakeholder meetings (virtual)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Public Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis or government reporting
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one data visualization tool (Tableau/Power BI)
- Familiarity with North Carolina state government data systems preferred
- Strong written communication skills for policy briefings
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- U.S. citizenship and North Carolina residency required
- Clear criminal background check mandatory
