Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain comprehensive filing systems for legal and administrative records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Retrieve and assemble documents for court proceedings, hearings, and client meetings in a timely manner.
- Perform data entry and digitization of paper files into the agency's secure database.
- Assist the legal team with copying, scanning, and distributing correspondence.
- Monitor supply levels for office equipment and order supplies as needed.
- Greet visitors and direct them to appropriate personnel or departments professionally.
- Ensure the records room is organized, secure, and compliant with DC government retention policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associateās degree in Office Administration or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a legal, government, or high-volume office environment is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Driverās License is not required but may be beneficial for local travel.
- Ability to pass a background check and security clearance as required by government employment.
