Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research on federal, state, and private foundation funding opportunities aligned with our organizational goals.
- Develop and write clear, persuasive grant proposals, including executive summaries, problem statements, and detailed evaluation plans.
- Manage the entire grant lifecycle, from concept development and internal review to final submission and compliance reporting.
- Collaborate closely with program directors and executive leadership to accurately capture impact data and success metrics.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, funders, and potential partners.
- Ensure strict adherence to submission guidelines and deadlines.
- Manage the grant database and track funding sources to optimize future outreach.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience writing successful grants for non-profit organizations.
- Strong research skills with the ability to identify and target relevant funding sources in Texas.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on storytelling and persuasive argumentation.
- Proficiency in grant management software (e.g., Foundant, Fluxx) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated and highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Experience in the San Antonio non-profit sector is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Public Administration, or a related field is required.
