Responsibilities
- Research and identify new funding opportunities from federal, state, and private foundations.
- Write clear, persuasive grant proposals and narratives that articulate project goals and impact.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary data and ensure accurate budget preparation.
- Manage the full grant lifecycle, including submission tracking and post-award reporting.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive grants calendar and tracking system.
- Review and edit internal documents for clarity and consistency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing or fundraising for nonprofits.
- Strong writing skills with a focus on persuasion and clarity.
- Experience with government and private foundation grant applications (e.g., RFPs, 990s).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software (e.g., Fluxx, GrantMaker).
- Ability to work independently while meeting strict deadlines.
- Knowledge of the local community and its nonprofit sector is a plus.
