As a part-time employee, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of state systems, ensuring data security, and assisting in the modernization of our technology landscape.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for internal staff and public-facing systems.
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across Seattle facilities.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software solutions.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential security vulnerabilities.
- Ensure strict compliance with state cybersecurity policies and data privacy regulations.
- Conduct regular system audits and prepare detailed technical reports for management.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in IT support or network administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and SQL databases.
- Familiarity with state government IT frameworks and compliance standards is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to commit to a part-time schedule (20-25 hours per week) with some flexibility for remote work.
