Responsibilities
- Process retirement applications and pension disbursements with precision
- Verify member eligibility and calculate pension benefits according to state regulations
- Assist in pension plan compliance audits and documentation maintenance
- Provide responsive member support via phone, email, and in-person consultations
- Collaborate with finance team on quarterly pension fund reporting
- Update and maintain member records in pension administration systems
- Participate in outreach programs for retirement planning education
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years experience in pension administration or benefits management
- Proficiency with government compliance regulations (ERISA, KY Retirement Systems statutes)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with pension administration software
- Strong attention to detail with proven accuracy in financial calculations
- Excellent communication skills for member interactions
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week with flexible scheduling
- Valid Kentucky driver's license for occasional travel to regional offices
