Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor federal pension plan compliance under ERISA and OPM guidelines
- Provide retirement counseling to federal employees regarding TSP and FERS benefits
- Analyze pension fund data to ensure accurate disbursements and reporting
- Coordinate with OPM and Treasury Department on regulatory updates
- Process retirement applications and benefit adjustments within SLA timelines
- Develop educational materials for federal agency retirement briefings
- Conduct audits of pension plan documentation for regulatory adherence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience with pension plans or retirement administration
- Familiarity with federal retirement systems (TSP/FERS) preferred
- Proficient in Excel and pension administration software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal background clearance
- Excellent communication skills for employee counseling
- Part-time availability of 20-25 hours per week
