- Maintain accurate pension records in secure government databases
- Collaborate with finance and HR teams on compliance audits and regulatory updates
- Generate quarterly reports on pension fund performance for stakeholder review
- Conduct outreach workshops on retirement planning for city staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or retirement benefits experience
- Proficiency with government financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and Michigan pension laws
- Exceptional communication skills for explaining complex benefits to diverse audiences
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) designation preferred
- Ability to work 20-25 hours weekly with flexible scheduling options
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background clearance
