Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls with calm professionalism
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical units using CAD systems and radio communications
- Maintain accurate incident logs and documentation per department protocols
- Provide clear, concise information to callers and responding personnel
- Operate multi-line telephone systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software
- Adhere to federal regulations (e.g., NENA standards) during crisis situations
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during multi-agency responses
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Basic computer literacy and data entry proficiency
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure environments
- Clear diction and exceptional active listening skills
- Must pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- Minimum age 18 with valid Oregon driver's license
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
