Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and empathy
- Operate multi-channel radio systems to coordinate field units during critical incidents
- Input and maintain detailed information in Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
- Provide life-saving instructions via emergency medical protocols
- Maintain precise records of all communications and activities
- Collaborate with police, fire, and EMS personnel during multi-agency responses
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass comprehensive background investigation and polygraph
- Exceptional communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure during emergencies
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
