Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems with 100% accuracy
- Dispatch police/fire/EMS units using radio and digital communication channels
- Maintain detailed incident logs and documentation per department protocols
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support to callers
- Train on NIMS/ICS protocols and state emergency procedures
- Operate 911 systems and backup communication equipment
- Participate in regular scenario-based drills and certification updates
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 40 WPM typing certification (required within 90 days)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass extensive background check and psychological evaluation
- Experience in customer service or high-pressure environments
- Basic computer proficiency with MS Office suite
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Clear speaking voice with strong diction and comprehension skills
