Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls and dispatch appropriate personnel (police, fire, EMS) using CAD systems
- Maintain accurate radio communications during critical incidents and routine operations
- Enter and update sensitive incident data in law enforcement databases
- Provide multi-agency coordination during major emergencies and disasters
- Operate 911 systems and maintain compliance with NENA standards
- Assist in training new dispatchers and updating department protocols
- Perform administrative duties including report logging and record management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm during high-stress emergency scenarios
- Must be a US citizen or authorized to work permanently in the US
