Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and business lines
- Dispatch police/fire/EMS units using CAD/RMS systems
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate radio logs and digital incident records
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major emergencies
- Operate NCIC/DMV databases for warrant/license checks
- Perform after-action reporting and quality assurance reviews
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum 18 years of age (21+ for full certification)
- Valid California driver's license
- Typing speed 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass background investigation and polygraph
- Clear speaking voice with multi-tasking acumen
- Basic computer literacy (Windows OS)
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
