Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency 911 calls with accuracy and compassion
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Provide critical information to first responders during active incidents
- Operate radio communication equipment following FCC protocols
- Multi-task between call-taking, radio dispatch, and administrative tasks
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass thorough criminal background check
- Typing speed minimum 40 WPM (will be tested)
- Clear speaking voice with excellent diction
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Basic computer literacy (Windows OS, typing proficiency)
- Must be 18+ years old and legally authorized to work in the US
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
